Jennifer Adams, DePauw University
Professor of Communication and Theatre
Fellowship Administrative Position: Associate Dean of Strategic Academic Projects

Jennifer Adams (Ph.D. Purdue University) is Department Chair and Professor of Communication and Theatre at DePauw University, where she teaches and researches in the areas of dialogue, slow communication, and relational communication. Her scholarly work explores letter-writing, postcards, and the temporal ethics of presence in communication. In addition to her academic publications and teaching, she is an active member of local history organizations and animal welfare groups. 

Corey Barnes, Oberlin College
Robert S. Danforth Professor and Chair of Religion
Fellowship Administrative Position: Associate Dean of Arts and Sciences

Corey Barnes is Robert S. Danforth Professor and Chair of Religion and an Associate Dean of Arts and Sciences at Oberlin College. He has served on and chaired a variety of committees addressing enterprise-wide topics and is presently responsible for assisting the development and implementation of educational policies.

Andrea Colvin, Ohio Wesleyan University
Associate Professor of Spanish
Fellowship Administrative Position: Assistant Director of the Smith Center for Faculty Excellence

Dr. Andrea Colvin joined Ohio Wesleyan University in 2009 after earning her Ph.D. in Spanish from the University of California, Irvine. She was promoted to Associate Professor with tenure in 2015. At Ohio Wesleyan, Dr. Colvin teaches Spanish language as well as advanced courses in Latin American literature, culture, and film. Her scholarship centers on cultural production from the Southern Cone, with particular attention to representations of political violence and trauma and the construction of cultures of remembrance in post-dictatorship contexts. She has served for several years as Chair of her department and spent one year as Interim Associate Dean for Academic Performance and Advising.

Matthew Farmer, Hope College
Professor of Dance, Dorthy Wiley DeLong Endowed Chair of Dance
Fellowship Administrative Position: Associate Dean of the Arts

Matthew Farmer is currently the Dorothy Wiley DeLong Endowed Chair of Dance at Hope College, the Co-Artistic Director of R.G. Dance Productions and the Co-Artistic Director of H2 Dance Co. Matthew received his MFA from the University of Michigan in Dance Performance and Choreography, and his BA in Theatre and Dance from Hope College. He specializes in teaching Modern, Contemporary, Improvisation and Jazz technique, as well as Composition and 20th & 21st Century Dance History in America, and he is the author of the book Teaching Dance Improvisation: A Beginner’s Guide (Taylor and Francis Publishing). His choreography spans the field of dance, and can be seen on college campuses, professional dance companies, international festivals, competitive dance teams, and musical theater venues throughout the United States and abroad.

Michael Mehler, Allegheny College
Professor of Theatre
Fellowship Administrative Position: Dean for Visual and Performing Arts 

Michael is a Professor of Theatre and Administrative Chair for Music at Allegheny College. He has designed scenery and lighting for theatre, dance, and opera for over 35 years and is currently the Chair of the Fellows of the United States Institute for Theatre Technology. His current research and teaching focuses on ecodrama and sustainable design and production for live performance.

Pashmina Murthy, Kenyon College
Associate Professor of English
Fellowship Administrative Position: GLCA-Kenyon Pathways Coordinator

Pashmina Murthy is Associate Professor of English at Kenyon College, where she teaches Postcolonial Studies and literature of the global South. She has previously served as Chair of the English department, Chair of the Faculty Affairs Committee, and Director of Comparative World Literature. Pashmina is also on the Executive Committee for Comparative Literary and Cultural Studies-Global South and a delegate to the Modern Language Association. 

Ibra Sene, The College of Wooster
Associate Professor of History
Fellowship Administrative Position: Associate Dean for Global Initiatives

Ibra Sene is Associate Professor of History and Global & International Studies at The College of Wooster. He is also Affiliated Scholar at Matrix: Center for Digital Humanities & Social Sciences, Michigan State University. His research is on penal institutions and higher education in Senegal/West Africa, and he teaches courses on Africa, the African Diaspora, and the Muslim World. At Wooster, Sene has worked on various global engagement initiatives. Sene has developed partnerships with colleagues at academic institutions such as Université Cheikh Anta Diop (Senegal), University of the Gambia, Université des Sciences Humaines de Bamako (Mali), Ashesi University (Ghana), Al Akhawayn University (Morocco), Forman Christian College (Pakistan), and American University in Cairo (Egypt). Professor Sene is in his second year of service on the GLCA BIPOC Faculty Leadership Council.

Babli Sinha, Kalamazoo College
Professor of English
Fellowship Administrative Position: Director of AI and Education

Dr. Babli Sinha is Professor of English at Kalamazoo College, where she teaches courses in Film Studies, Anglophone Literature, and Literary and Film theory. She is the author of South Asian Transnationalisms: Cultural Exchange in the Twentieth Century (Routledge, 2011), Cinema Transnationalism and Colonial India: Entertaining the Raj (Routledge, 2013), and The Bengal Famine and Cultural Production: Signifying Colonial Trauma (Routledge, 2024) as well as articles on American, South Asian, and British literature, film, and theory. She has served on faculty committees regarding finances, personnel, as well as the college’s Faculty Executive Committee and looks forward to furthering the college’s mission of liberal arts education in the era of artificial intelligence.

Adriel M. Trott, Wabash College

Fellowship Administrative Position: Director of Liberal Arts Pathways

Adriel M. Trott is Professor of Philosophy and Andrew T. and Anne Ford Chair in the Liberal Arts. She has chaired the Philosophy Department, the Gender Studies Minor, and Wabash’s Department Chairs group and currently serves in an elected position on Wabash’s Academic Policy Committee. Her scholarship focuses on ancient, continental, and feminist philosophy. Peter Valdina, Albion College
Stanley S. Kresge Associate Professor in Religious Studies
Fellowship Administrative Position: Faculty Director of the James L. Curtis Institute for Social Change

Peter Valdina is an associate professor of Religious Studies at Albion College, where he also currently holds the Stanley S. Kresge Endowed Professorship in Religious Studies.  Since January 2025, he has served as the Faculty Director for Albion’s James L. Curtis Institute for Social Change. He received his Ph.D. in religious studies from the West and South Asian Religions Program at Emory University, where he studied Hindu and Islamic traditions. His research concerns the transformation of yoga in nineteenth-century India at the intersection of Sanskrit and vernacular sources.
