Criteria for Program Recognition

1. GLCA Membership: Program is managed by one of the 13 member schools, or is a consortial partner like ACM

2. Faculty Involvement:

  • The program has an advisory committee that includes GLCA faculty members
  • There is a faculty liaison on each campus to provide current information to students and other faculty members
  • The program includes direct faculty participation through administrative or curricular involvement

3. Recognized Programs have impact on GLCA Campuses through:

  • Professional development opportunities for faculty related to the program location and/or field of study
  • Campus educational enrichment events made possible by the operation of the program

4. Program Continuity: the managing institution assures program continuation for a minimum of two years

5. Program Quality Assessment:

  • Program has documented annual assessment process in place
  • Program undergoes a formative consortial review every five years.
